our pigfest.
After school today, Ben, Bobby, Jason, and I went over to Adam’s house. We went over to his house to hang out before the school play tonight, and we essentially planned this on twitter. I had semi-jokingly suggested we do the bacon-weave with cheese on twitter, which motivated Jason to come even though he wasn’t staying for the play.
We drove to Ralphs to get supplies, and we ended up buying a pack of bacon, Land of Lakes Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Tortilla Chips with Lime and Mild Salsa, Grape Soda and chocolate chip cookie dough. {Edit: ALSO those little brownie bite things}. We epicly failed at the self-checkout, BUT we noticed something on our receipt:

Yes, the Land of Lakes cheese, for $5.99, was abbreviated to LOL Cheese. Hey, you gotta pay for your rofls.
Billy called us while we were trying to find parking, and he was, overall, confused about our shopping plans. In trying to explain the bacon-cheese concept, Bobby simply asked “Billy, do you like cylinders of meat?”
We were at Ralphs talking about the bacon idea when Jason suggested putting a hotdog inside the bacon; Adam responded by saying, “That’s too much meat. Also, I don’t know how to cook a hotdog.”
Jason, incredulous, put out his hand palm-up and said “Frying pan or grill.” He put his other hand on top of his hand, “Hot dog. Rotate.” (This was lulzy win at the time.)
We went back to Adam’s for our feast. I breaked-and-baked the cookie dough, while Adam made the bacon weave.

After baking in the oven, the bacon significantly shrunk.

We ran into a problem, however, when it was time to grate the cheese. We looked in every drawer for the cheese grater, but we couldn’t find it. Adam called his mom and handed me the phone. Me: “Hi, Mrs. Rothman. It’s Angela. Um, where do you keep your cheese grater?” Adam’s mom told us where it was, and we successfully grated the cheese and put it on the weave. Adam rolled up the bacon and cheese.

The finished product:

This post is really long. Basically, we were all in a food coma afterwards, and we wanted to poop. I played Geometry Wars for the first time, and it rocked. The play was really good; it exceeded my low expectations. And Ben is adorable with Adam’s dog:
