we’re going to the ship.
Tonight, our community came together at Calabasas High School, where we claimed the gym as “Our House” in the CIF Southern Section Semi-Finals against Sonora. I live for these games: when the stands are shaking with Wolverines in red Fanatics shirts after Swoope has made a slam dunk on a fast break, when cheers are traded back and forth with the opposing crowd, and when the entire crowd storms the court after the buzzer sounds.
Just like Lauren said below, we have worked so hard these last few years. We should enjoy these last few months, before high school slips away. I encourage everyone to come to one of the most cliche high school experiences: a championship basketball game. Everyone, especially second semester seniors, should be at the Honda Center in Anaheim this Saturday, March 7 to cheer on the boys who have worked so hard to get this far, especially the seniors who hope to leave Harvard-Westlake with a CIF ring on their finger.
GO BIG RED!
